Faith Was All She Had

Greetings from WWV, we hope your day is off to an amazing start! Today we listened to an audio testimony from Melissa Rodriguez. Melissa spent all of her youth in different foster and group homes. She became pregnant at sixteen and emanicapted herself from the system. As her pregnancy went along, she was determined that she would give her baby the love she never received. She delivered a baby boy named Issaiah, she was so in love with him. He made her life worth living! One night her son woke her up screaming, she ran into his room to see him blue in the face. She took him to the hospital, where she later finds out he has a heart condition. The condition he has is basically that his brain doesn't communicate with his heart when he's asleep. The doctor informed her that this condition is fatal and as a matter of fact, most kids don't live past six. Melissa refused to believe that report. She began to push her son to be as normal as possible. Indeed, he had some delays in his motor and communication skills. Melissa was determined to not only keep her son alive but, to also push him to be as normal as possible. She bought him a bike every year, at first he could not master keeping his feet on the pedal. So, he pushed the bike with his feet and then she even used velcro to keep his feet on the pedal. He learned how to ride the, he would go get the mail for his mom. By the time he was eleven, she took him to the doctor and they were shocked that he was even alive ! His mom wasn't! Issaiah is now eighteen years old, he still have his challenges but, he is still here. His mom refused to give up, faith was all she had. Whose report will you believe?
