The Carpenter Ant

Greetings from WWV, we hope your day is off to an amazing start! Last Sunday our very own Pastor Elvin Massenburge spoke out of II Thessalonians 2:1-12, The Spirit of the Antichrist. Why is this spirit in the land? The reason being is because, we receive not the love of the truth!

First things first Happy New Year, we hope that your year begins and ends with Jesus Christ. We may not know what the future holds but we can rest in the arms of the one that holds the future.

We started today off with prayer and thanksgiving.Righteous are you, O Lord, and upright are your judgments. Your testimonies, which you have commanded, are righteous and very faithful. My zeal has consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten your words. Your word is very pure; therefore your servant loves it. I am and despised, yet I do not forget your precepts. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is truth. Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet your commandments are my delights. The righteousness of your testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding,and I shall live. Psalms 119:137-144

Today we were introduced to the Carpenter Ant (Wood Ant), these indigenous creatures are located in forested parts of the world. They build their nest inside wood consisting of galleries chewed out with their mandibles, preferably in dead damp wood. Unlike termites, they do not consume wood discarding a material that resembles saw dust. They are nocturnal and forage at night however, some species forage during the day during the spring and summer months. They travel one hundred yards to find food for the colony. The Carpenter Ants are considered to be oligogynous meaning, they have a number of queens but are intolerant of each other and must spread to different areas of the nest.

They are not considered to be an aggressive species and will usually only bite if they are disturbed or feel threatened. And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard was coming, and is now already in the world. I John 4:3 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an Antichrist. II John 7 As Christians we have to constantly do self inventory

asking ourselves, am I lined up with Christ or the things of this world? Also, does my situation drive me to God and nothing else? We have to know where we stand with God, if not we will believe the lies of this world!
